Most recently, ACE has been working in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council to bring the Furniture Donation Station to life at Forthbank Recycling Centre. It is hoped that this will divert even more furniture from landfill. For more details go to section below. Finally ACE is now home to another local environmental charity, STYLE Options – more details below.
The Furniture Donation Station was opened in August 2023 in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council Forthbank Recycling Centre. The container is owned by ACE and now is open daily to allow visitors to the Centre drop off any unwanted items directly into a safe and clean container for collection. The container is emptied several times through the week and is manned at busy times by volunteers from ACE and Wee County Men’s Shed. For more details, please view the leaflet here.
ACE is also the home to the environmental charity, STYLE Options who provide fabulous dresses, suits and accessories to young people going to proms, dances and other important events free of charge. The charity is aiming to reuse high-quality outfits that are lying unused in wardrobes and reduce the environmental impacts of ‘fast fashion’.
